Call for applicants-full scholarship available: The Hinrich Foundation is encouraging bright, motivated Indian nationals with a strong interest in international trade to apply for our comprehensive scholarship, skills training and career development program.
Purpose : To provide quality education and comprehensive career development opportunities for postgraduate study in fields related to trade, communication and development in Asia to scholars with proven academic and professional track records who desire to promote sustainable global trade.
Schools & Programs of study : Successful students will study Master of Arts in International Journalism at Hong Kong Baptist University on a full-time basis.

Eligibility: Applicants must be citizens of India. They must have an undergraduate degree in a relevant subject. They must be fluent in English and able to meet all academic, entrance and other requirements of the university and program of study.
Stipend support: Hinrich Foundation
offers full stipend support. The following costs will be covered at a basic
level:
- Academic
tuition and mandatory fees for the duration of the course, including exam
costs.
- A
monthly stipend for room and board, and living expenses sufficient for a
single student.
- Support
for educational supplies and materials.
- Airfare
for the scholars’ travel to Hong Kong and back to their country at the end
of the program.
- All costs related to securing and maintaining a student visa for the duration of the scholarship.
Scholar
undertaking: One of our goals is to give Scholars a
solid career foundation in a trade-related field to help them develop
marketable skills and contribute to our mission of promoting sustainable global
trade. To that end, Scholars are required to sign a binding Memorandum of
Understanding, cosigned by a family member, that requires the Scholar to
undertake – if a posting is offered – an internship and work for a period of
two years upon graduation with either Global Sources (www.globalsources.com NASDAQ:
GSOL) or the Hinrich Foundation. Work will be in a role and geographic location
paid at local market rates.
Should the Scholar decline
the employment offer, the full amount of the Scholarship must be repaid. Should
they fail to complete the entire undertaking, the scholarship must be re-paid
on a pro-rated basis.
